Meet The Barbers at Chaps & Co JIC

Most weeks start with enough of a scramble as it is. The last thing you want is to find your barber shut when you finally get a window to sit down and get yourself sorted. The Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse branch is now open on Mondays, so your grooming ritual no longer needs to wait. You can walk in at the start of the week and leave feeling looked after, before the diary fills up.

This is a full introduction to the men behind the chair. If you are looking for a barber that Jumeirah Islands locals return to, it helps to know who is holding the clippers. A good cut comes down to the person doing it. Here is who you will meet at the Chaps JIC branch:

Toni

Toni has been a barber for 12 years, and with Chaps & Co since early 2022. What sets him apart is his approach to every cut: he takes genuine time understanding exactly what each client is looking for, then visualizes not just how it'll look the next day, but how it'll look months from now, thinking beyond the chair, beyond the immediate moment. He's confident working with all hair types, and that long-view thinking is what clients remember most. Outside the shop, Toni is heavily invested in cycling, art, and anything visual a passion that clearly feeds into how he approaches his craft.

Mira

Barbering has always been a family affair for Mira. More than four years in, it is clearly in his blood rather than something he stumbled into. That background shows in his work, and it showed again when he won the creative fade battle at Russian Barber Week 2025 - a bit of real recognition among people who know what they are looking at.

His speciality is long hair, where patience and a sharp eye matter most. Clients keep coming back again and again, and describe it plainly: they know they are in the hands of a good barber. With every new client, Mira establishes a genuine connection before he picks up his tools. He wants to understand you long before he touches your hair. It is an approach that sits at the heart of how we work, which you can read more about in Why Great Haircuts Start With The Right Consultation: Inside the Chaps & Co Method. Away from the shop, he unwinds behind a camera, capturing photos.

Walter

Walter has been barbering for close to nine years, and his route into the industry is notable. He was selling fruit to get by, and one of his best customers happened to be a barber. That customer saw something in him, convinced him to trade the cart for clippers, and trained him for free. That decision fundamentally changed the course of his life.

Today Walter is best known for skin fades and Afro fades. He takes real time to listen to what you actually want, then delivers exactly that, and clients will tell you he is genuinely good company in the chair. You start the appointment reassured, and walk out knowing you were in good hands.

There is another side to Walter too. Back home in Cameroon, he organises community events and gives his time to visiting orphanages, hospitals, and prisons, offering free haircuts to those who need them. The smiles these acts of service bring to people’s faces stay with him long after he has returned to the barbershop.

When you know who you want in the chair, you can book in with one of our skilled barbers and keep that chair for the long run.

IS CHAPS & CO JUMEIRAH ISLANDS OPEN ON MONDAYS?

Yes, the Jumeirah Islands branch is now open on Mondays. For a lot of men, Monday is when the week resets and a sharp cut sets the tone for everything that follows. Having the chair available at the start of the week, rather than waiting for the weekend rush, makes the ritual easier to keep.

The simplest way to lock in a slot that suits you is to book in with one of our skilled barbers online. Pick your barber, pick your time, and arrive knowing exactly what to expect.

WHERE CAN I GET A MEN'S HAIRCUT IN JUMEIRAH ISLANDS?

The Chaps & Co branch at JIC is the easy answer. It is a comfortable space built for men who want a barber they can return to without re-explaining themselves every visit. No gimmicks, no rush, just skilled barbers and consistent results.

Convenience matters even more when your week is full. A barber in Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse that you can reach easily if you live around Jumeirah Park District, The Springs or The Meadows that runs to your schedule, and knows your preferences, turns grooming from a simple necessity into something you can look forward to. If you want the full picture of what a visit involves beyond the cut itself, we have set it out in More Than A Haircut: What The Chaps & Co Experience Actually Includes.

A men's haircut that Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse locals will keep coming back for is one that holds its shape for weeks and does not need explaining twice. For current prices across the full range, including a classic men's haircut and the rest of our services, take a look at the men's grooming services page, where everything is laid out clearly before you book.

BOOK IN WITH THE JIC TEAM
