Ilias's story starts at age six, watching his mother, a seasoned hairdresser work her craft in her bustling salon in Greece. That early fascination didn't fade; he spent countless hours observing and absorbing, then practicing on willing friends and family, until his peers began seeking him out as their go-to barber. At 18, Greek law called him into military service, and even there, far from home, he kept sharpening his skills, earning a reputation among fellow soldiers for precision and efficiency. When he returned home, Ilias threw himself back into barbering, working across various shops until 2006, when at just 23, he opened his own barbershop alongside his sister, a licensed cosmetologist, the two of them learning the ropes of business ownership together. But a thriving career in Greece wasn't enough to quiet his pull toward something bigger, and that restlessness eventually led him to New York City. There, amid the city's energy and diversity, he found an entirely new canvas for his craft, taking on workshops and seminars to stay ahead of trends while building a loyal following around his crisp scissor cuts and expert razor work. From a small town in Greece to the heart of the Big Apple, Ilias's journey is a testament to passion, dedication, and creativity; a legacy written one haircut at a time.
