Ahmad

On the first day Chaps & Co opened at JLT, Ahmad was already in his chair. Not as a new hire finding his feet, but as a founding member helping to build something from nothing. More than a decade later, he is still there. He cut his teeth at the Four Seasons Hotel Syria, at a time when clippers still ran on hand mechanisms before cables existed. He opened his own shop in 2000 and ran it for a decade. When circumstances in Syria forced a move, he spent five years working through Dubai's best salons before arriving at Chaps on the day it opened. His craft is fades and beard work, delivered with the patience of someone who has been doing this since before most of his clients were born. The kind of barber who handles everything, and makes it all look straightforward.
