Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is an online fantasy football game that puts you in charge of your own squad. Built around the English Premier League, one of the most competitive football leagues in the world, it lets you build a dream team from real players and score points off real results, week after week.
Chaps & Co's Tips for a Winning Season
Winning an FPL league takes a mix of research, strategy and no small amount of luck. There's no guaranteed formula, but these will give you a fighting chance:
Research your players
Staying on top of player news is non-negotiable. Injuries, form, fixtures and recent performance all decide how your team scores.
Manage your budget
Don't blow the lot on the big names. Spread your spend across every position, and the right budget picks will earn their keep.
Watch fixture difficulty
When a team faces a tough run of matches, their players often underperform. Bench accordingly and field your strongest possible lineup.
Pick your captain and vice-captain with care
Both are worth double points, so back players you trust in both roles. It's your safety net if your captain has an off week.
Stay active
The managers who check in regularly are the ones who catch the transfers and team news that matter. Fall asleep on your squad, and you'll pay for it.
Use your chips wisely
Bench Boost, Free Hit, Wildcard and Triple Captain are all part of the strategy. Know when to play them, not just that they exist.
Play the long game
An FPL season runs the distance. A slow start isn't fatal, and a flying start is no reason to ease off. Form turns quickly in either direction.
